Furfari's on Frankford Ave in Fishtown make the best pretzels in Philly, imo. Mart Pretzels are by far the best in the area ... but before you start creaming your panties about them being in Cinnaminson, just remember, the original owners were from Philly.

Let's not forget about the sandwiches at Cosi's which are expensive but very good
Do yourself a favor and try a tuna hoagie from Paesano's. I guarantee you it'll be like an carnival orgasm in your mouth.

Sorry I prefer my tuna on crackers or bread not a hoagie roll because I don't think there should be a such thing as a tuna hoagie.

Never been a fan of them

Trust me ... I've never been ga-ga over tuna, but this is something special.

What? A Banh Mi is one of the best sandwiches there is, especially with a pigs ear or some other headcheese on there with some liver pate and spicy mayonnaise to give it the wonderful moistness along with the airy texture of the rice flour baguette. Mmm with some delicious pickled carrots and daikon and cilantro and jalapeno to round it out. YUM YUM YUM. There are fewer better foods in this world. I love making my own and caramelizing my pork in anchovy fish sauce. Mmm, who knew that secretions from rotting fish could be so good.

Good thread. Maybe a mod will ruin it by moving it or closing it.

That's just peachy, but fact is: Even a bologna hoagie from Wawa tastes better.

Care for a cuppa Earl Grey?

With my Banh Mi? I think not! Give me lychee juice or coconut water or something instead. Man, Larry. What else don't you like?
