Hi everyone,

I'm currently working in the Lehigh Valley, but as a single 20-something, I'm finding it really isn't offering what I would like. I've also never had the chance to live in a truly metropolitan area, and would like to experience that while I am still single.

So to my question, I am really interested in Conshy, mainly for the younger population (or so I've been told), without living in the City Center (a non-option for a commute up to Allentown). So.... I'm looking for apartments in the Conshy area, but as close as possible to 476N. Number one concern is safety and decent management. My rent cap would be about $1200.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Conshohocken & Lafayette Hill Apartments | North Lane Apartments | The Galman Group

No idea about management, but I lived around the corner from this place for 8 years and it always seemed safe. Good location really close to 476, downtown conshy, metroplex, etc.

You could look at Ambler or other Montco towns as well. Not nearly as lively as Philadelphia or even Cnshohocken, but at least it saves you the mid county to Lanadale commute every day.

Also get familiar with the alternate routes that don't include the NE extension. I cannot tell you how many times I was stuck on there for hours because of an accident.

I lived in Plymouth Gardens on Butler Pike back in 1998 to 2001.
Nice place. Has a pool and is pet friendly.

Second Plymouth Gardens. Not a bright, shiny new place, but it's well-run and you get a lot for your money. You're also on the edge of downtown Conshy, so you're still somewhat walkable to everything down there.

Where do you currently live in the Lehigh Valley? Conshy won't really give you anything you don't already have in Bethlehem (although the scene in Conshy is certainly less college-centric).

Agree - i'd live in Bethlehem over Conshy, unless you wanted easier access to center city on weekends . . . and the significiantly longer commute during the week justifies that benefit.
