newmarlig is right, ginos and pats made the worst cheesesteaks i ever tasted. Jim's steaks are really good, there are also a lot of good places to get a sandwhich on South Street. not sure though with mexican food.

Just don't get cheesewiz on it, get provolone. Get marinara sauce and onions, too, but to each their own. The best steaks are the ones that are chopped not the chewy slabs of grey meat some use( Geno's, Pats).

Definitely the Locust Bar on 10th & Locust; it's an interesting dive with a combination of eccentric regulars as well as local university students.

Oh, and they have some great specials too, one of them being Monday night 15 cent (or maybe 20 cent by now) wings. And they are soooo good!!
