Hi, I'm considering a move to N Tyson ave in Glenside, which is the Abington part of Glenside. Is anyone very familiar? What kind of area is it? How are the schools? I'm in my early 30's with 2 very young daughters and a son on the way. I'm looking for a safe, family oriented neighborhood with good schools. I know there are some "sketchy" areas in Glenside. Is this a good area to live? How diverse is this part of Glenside? The house is beautiful, but I am unfamiliar with the neighborhood. I appreciate any helpful responses. Thanks!

Very nice. I know a person who lives on Tyson. Abington schools are very good too.

Is the 700 block the first block off Mt Carmel? I use to know someone that lived there and was talking about moving. Would be quite a coincidence if it was the same house. Glenside is not a bad area, and do not really know of any areas that would be considered sketchy other then maybe the apartment complex right on Easton Rd.

Glenside is not sketchy at all and that block is fine. If you want new construction, that will be hard to find for many miles from that area. I can't speak to the diversity of that particular block but Glenside is fairly diverse in general not to mention Abington School District overall.
