Here is my situation:

I worked in two states. I worked in PA and DE for base year 2012. I quit my job in PA to work my job in DE. A month later, the company is DE closes and I am laid off. I apply for unemployment in PA since I live in PA. They deny me for unemployment saying that I have a job I quit in the base year. So even though I was laid off from my last employer, they denied me.

What do I do?

What recourse do I have?

How can I have been laid off from my job with my company closing and then be told I cant collect benefits. Oh I should also note it has been 2 months since I filed my claim. 8 weeks with no income and only to be told they cant help me.

Please help!

I believe you would have to apply in DE, since that is where the company was that laid you off. I know quite a few people from Pa that got laid off from employers in Jersey, and had to collect from Jersey.
