Only because I had a bet on the game. Other than that it was only week 3. I;m old enough to know that wins or losses don't matter until after halloween

They mean nothing in September

Of course they matter. They are part of the final standings and can mean you go or don't go to the playoffs. Numbers don't know when games are played. The games are even more important when you are playing a division rival.

I guess you think April games don't matter in baseball either. Well, you would be wrong there too.

Wins and Losses in week 1 to 3 means nothing regardless of who it's against because it's so early in the season

Prime example, eagles went 3-1 last season in first 4 games and then lost 4 in a row to fall to 3-4.

See what i mean?

That particular loss was brutal to me as a fan because it was against Dallas and because of the way it happened. I wouldn't have cared if it was week one or December.

I like your math, btw.

What's wrong with my math? They started out 3-1 and then lost the next 3 games to fall to 3-4??

BTW: I tried watching that game last night from 1997 since we were talking about it so much but discovered that I only have the first half

You said they lost four in a row after the 3-1 start. That would make them 3-5.

My point is fans should not get too happy or too upset about the outcome of a NFL game in September

But that's what makes it fun for me ... I'm very passionate.

I try to save all my emotions for Late November and December games. That's the time when losses tend to hurt the most
