Which county in the Greater Philadelphia Area do you think is the most beautiful? Whether it's natural landscape, scenery, architecture, infrastructure, etc.

Bucks and Chester with Monco third on natural beauty (I am probably partial to Bucks though)

The Delaware River Valley is very pretty

Brandywine valley is also very pretty

I don't think most people would consider that the Philly area.

It's a tie between Bucks and Chester Counties for first place. Berks County would be next although I dispute that it belongs on this poll, Montgomery comes next. Then Delaware County. Then New Castle County. Then Philadelphia County (River Drives, Wissahickon Valley), then whatever that flat stuff is over the Delaware River.

This popped up in a "Related Topics" set of links, so I figured I'd weigh in.

I see that Bucks, which I also voted for, seems to be running away with the title.

But as RightonWalnut (who apparently changed his/her user ID in the four years since voting) points out, the answer might be different depending on what factors count most.

Bucks' natural beauty is rivaled only by that of the Brandywine Valley in Delaware/Chester counties in this region, IMO.

But while the county seat of Doylestown may also be the most physically attractive of the four suburban county seats, I don't think any place in this region could outrank Philly on the architectural-beauty part.

Of course, the city has acres of monotonous, not-terribly-attractive streetscapes, but the monotonously attractive ones more than make up for them.

I am partial to Chester County as I live there. I like it over Bucks as it is farther from New York, and New Jersey, but will still get transplants here.

Upper Bucks has beautiful scenery along Rt 32 by the river. Some beautiful views at Bowman's Hill and Ringing Rocks Park was amazing. They put it on par with Stonehenge. I brought a hammer there and they even have different tones when you hit them.
