I've got to commute from northeast Phila to Phoenixville starting soon and want to hear the most efficient way to get there...I know sitting on 76 is not,but there doesn't seem to be alot of other routes to get there...

Where in the NE, Route 1 to the Turnpike to 422 can be an alternative

Honestly listen to 1060 before deprating and pick your route, none are good and some days one will move better than the other (also working your way to 309 or Willow Grove could be a nother alternative when the turnpike is backed up to 611

I'm coming from near 95 & Cottman. I always have on 1060.

Well it took almost 2 hours today,between the 'construction' on Roosevelt and the usual on 76...I'm wondering if I took Allegheny across to Ridge into Manayunk then hit 76 there...

You could probably take Route 73 and turn left somewhere around Route 202, then get over to Egypt Road and take that out. This commute would better in the AM than the PM, IMO.

True,I left there around noon and got home in the 49 mins my GPS said rather than twice that time in the morning. I've taken 73 before and that's pretty much a cluster with all the lights/traffic/trucks/Septa etc. I'll probably just stick with the majors for now...at least there's no lights;

How far from the turnpike are you? One alternative is to use PA-276 and head West and exit 320 (Rt-29). You must have EZ Pass to use this exit.

There is a toll but considering if you are not sitting in traffic, it may be worth it.

Turnpike is kind of a roundabout way also,95 to 1 to Tpk isn't too bad but it's getting pretty slowed up all the way to 309 and possibly the Extension...
