I like this one.... very tasteful, great curb appeal, love the colonial style windows. It may be Upper Dublin which is also great schools, better actually but it has an Abington address which is desirable. I do see a problem with the dishwasher and their decorating is ....... unfortunate, but it's a beautiful lot with nice landscaping. I admit the pickings are slim in your price range. From here You could take Old Welsh Rd to Philmont Rd and then west to Trevose in about 15 minutes and he could take 611 or Easton Rd into Philly.

It's interesting to look at the price history since 2009. This one really got hit hard in the RE crash, but then didn't we all?

I work in Southampton, right next to Trevose, and my wife works in University City. We live in Ardmore, where the area is a large Jewish community. It's great. Have you considered this area?

Hatboro is a great little town. I was going to suggest that in an earlier post when someone brought up Jenkintown. I lived there up until I divorced my previous wife. Now half the store fronts on Old York Rd are vacant. On the other hand Hatboro along Old York Rd has nice shops and dining.

The reason there are some, not many empty store fronts on 611 in Jenkintown is because it is so hard to shop there. Too much traffic going too fast and lack of easy parking plus competition from so many shopping centers with dedicated, convenient parking all over the area. Even back in the day when 611 was lined with department stores they all had dedicated parking. Now if they aren't in department store heaven they are all relocated to the mall and their old spaces replaced by even more shopping or office space. It's the same situation you see on Rt 30 in Ardmore near Suburban Square. It's not a sign of decline. Nearby Baderwood Shopping Center, Abington Target Shopping Center, Noble Square, The Pavilion,Huntington Valley Shopping Center etc. have little or no vacant space. Hatboro is cute for window shopping but for serious shopping, not so much. Besides the nice residential areas aren't on 611, they are in the surrounding areas. Hatboro has always been sort of blue collar.
