My daughter lives in an apartment in Narberth within walking distance of the train. She works downtown and the train has been great for her. We are considering buying a condo for her ( having her buy us out eventually) in that area. I have looked on Trulia and other RE sites and seen some fairly good deals in the area for 1 or 2 BR condos. Any advice on that? Are those types of Real Estate moving now ? I have noticed some that had some significant price reductions. BTW, we live in Texas so not very familiar with the area other than visiting her there. She has had apartments in Havertown, Haverford and now Narberth. I feel that that area is safe but the closeness to a train station would be important. Thanks for the great info I get here at City Data. :-)

SORRY for the wrong title. I mean "Condos on the MAIN Line" I didn't check that before it was too late to edit. Thanks for any responses after my mistake. :-)

Some of the places in Narberth are pretty old, and low prices may be more a reflection of condition than location. Personally, if a unit was in poor shape but the building seemed solid, I'd go for it. But if the building seems like it isn't well kept, I'd skip it - things are either going to have to get fixed, resulting in higher HOAs, or you'll be living in a dump.
