My husband will be working in Radnor for 2 - 3 months. We have no clue about where to look for furnished housing that allows me to walk to shops, library, restaurants, coffee, etc., since I will be without a car. Public transportation is no problem, but I'd prefer to walk. Any suggestions? We want to keep his commute short, as well.

Nearby quaint older walkable small towns with mom and pop type small businesses include Wayne,Paoli,Devon,Bryn Mawr,Narberth,Ardmore. They are within a couple miles of Radnor. Be warned although generally upscale communities these are older towns with older apartment complexes.

For newer corporate housing/newer townhouses etc you will be better off looking west + north of Radnor in towns such as Exton,Eagleview,West Chester, Malvern,Plymouth Meeting,King of Prussia. All are a 15 minute- 1/2 commute to Radnor.

West Chester stands out in the fact that it has a very nice main street type feel to it with a library, coffee shops, restaurants etc.. Although the townhomes and apts are a mile or so from the town center accessible by public transit(bus)

Eagleview in Exton is a gigantic residential community that has its own little town center(starbucks-quiznos etc.). i would look into that if you have the time.

This is one of the largest corporate housing developers in the usa. I'm sure they have all kinds of developments in the area.

Good luck.

There is one big apt. complex near me in Malvern called William Henry Apartments. Looks like a nice place, you could check it out. It takes me about 20 min to get to Wayne in morning rush hour. So Radnor would be about the same I would guess? Good luck!
