After nearly 2 years of analysis and searching all over the country for a place to retire, we are considering Southern California ( Carlsbad) , along with Bucks County PA ( Doylestown/ New Hope area). We currently live in New England. I KNOW both are VERY different, but we like each for different reasons. We are a gay male couple retired young. We are 52 and 61 years old, very active, and are looking for a townhome between 325 and 450K. We recently have looked at some townhouses in Doylestown in a community called " Doylestown Station". Does anyone know anything about these?? We tend to lead quiet lives, and keep our place very nice. We like to be among people who take pride in their homes. We love to shop and dine in Doylestown, New Hope, and love all of the small quaint towns in PA and NJ.Does anyone know anything about Doylestown Station? Are there other gay couples there? How is the construction? I know these were built by Pulte, I hear mixed reviews about Pulte, as you do about most "national" builders.

Any imput on " Doylestown Station" or any other suggestions is GREATLY appreciated!!

Many thanks in advance. We are close to making a final decision!!

Doylestown Station are very nice townhomes - not too old (most about 10-15 years old) so they tend to be nicely updated. Pulte isn't horrible, there are definitely worse builders out there... The few pulte homes I've sold have checked out pretty well by home inspectors. It seems to be a quiet neighborhood, outside of the main Doylestown strip so it's not really 'walkable' but you can be to the main part of town in a few minutes drive. Have you looked into some of the townhomes on the river in New Hope? They may be nice options too!
