I want to go to a nice classy but cheap place in Philly that is in a fairly safe area.

Hopefully, she likes cheesesteaks because I am going to Jim's before the end of the date to get me a pizza steak. Too bad river rink is closed for the season!

If I get laid reps all around!

It's hard to go wrong with Good Dog Bar or Nodding Head. That's where I go when my guest(s) have questionable, unknown, or ambivalent tastes. They get a little noisy on Saturdays but they don't attract the Blarney Bus types.

I used to recommend Devil's Alley but their food and service went down the tubes.

If it's a romantic tryst you're after ... don't be such a cheapskate ... take her someplace romantic and impress her! I suggest the Sky Lounge for smart cocktails way up on the 33rd floor of Loews Hotel on Market Street at 12th. After dark the city lights will sparkle all around you and you can practically reach out and touch Liberty Place, the Comcast Center and Billy Penn's hat. Okay, maybe not a cheap dive bar, but it won't cost an arm and a leg either.

Ladies want to feel special. If you don't try to create a romantic mood, it's going to be you all alone that night with your favorite internet porn site.

Ended up taking her to 1 Tippling Place...Fancy bar with strong drinks!

Went to South St for steaks but there were a lot of fights going on and she was uncomfortable. I wish South Street had a stronger police presence. It's always hit and miss with the security every time I visit. Almost got into a fight twice because someone was being disrespectful with my woman. If it wasn't for the steaks I would never go to South Street tourist trap!

Just ate at Jerry's Bar in No Libs - great food and low key environment yet more sophisticated and a mixed crowd (not all hipsters if that matters one way or another) - would be a great bar Date IMHO

This i going to be one of my personal new go to and recommendation spots for what its worth - My issue with no Libs is for me is harder to walk to and cabs always seem to be an issue in No Libs - think Uber may have solved for that - great service as well - highly recommend downloading the Uber app - fast clean efficient and not too expensive compared to cabs

Real Black Car service as well - would be good for date - just my two cents on both accounts

sorry I have no vested interest in Uber but had a really good experience

Nice, I will take other dates to the places mentioned in this thread. I am not a Philly native I am closer to Jersey but occasionally I like a change and drive to Philly.

Can't go wrong with the many eateries or bars in the Midtown Village section of the city.
