Looking to relocate to Philadelphia, thinking of living in Bryn Mawr area or along the main line, and I am beginning the job search. I'm wondering what sort of commute it might be from the Bryn Mawr area to King of Prussia or Fort Washington areas. No objection to taking public transit if it's convenient but probably driving for the flexible schedule it would offer. There are some opportunities in those areas that looked interesting but I don't want to pursue them without additional insight into the commute. The job will normally be a standard work day (8-5ish) so the commute would be during morning / evening rush hour. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Bryn Mawr to KOP is perfectly fine. Taking back roads during rush hour shouldn't much longer than 20-25 minutes. Fort Washington seems a little more roundabout, but probably not too bad either (maybe 10 minutes more?) I'm far less familiar with that kind of route, but I'm sure others can weigh in. Have you checked out Lafayette Hill? That may be a somewhat better midway point.

Just use norristown HSL to gulph mills then take 124 or 125 buses (short ride) if you're in Bryn Mawr

Very easy commute from KOP to Bryn Mawr. I used to drive from KOP to Bryn Mawr, I would leave home at 6:30-35 in the am and would get to work in Bryn Mawr at 6:55 am to start work at 7:00.

Good Luck!
