NBC10 and Noticiero Telemundo 62 will eventually relocate to the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center at 1800 Arch St. from the local station’s current location at 10 Monument Road, Bala Cynwyd. Tentative plans suggest at least three control rooms and three studios, along with the station’s sales department and administrative staff, will occupy the 6th, 7th, and 8th floors of the 1.5 million-square-foot building.

While a considerable number of NBC, and MSNBC shows are produced in NYC, could you imagine one day, Comcast moving all productions to Philadelphia?

I would love for NBC to move its headquarters to Philadelphia but I'm not sure how difficult it would be to relocate from NYC to Philly. A lot of those shows market themselves as being in New York City like "Today" and "The Tonight Show (w/Jimmy Fallon)". NBC sports relocating to Philadelphia would make a lot of sense. They could be headquartered in the sports complex or near the Navy Yards in South Philly. At the very least I do think Philly should have at least one national talk/news show located in the new Comcast Innovation and Technology Center.

I agree they should at least start a few here and see how they hold up.

I still can't believe a TV station is going to be in a highrise building in center city

What about the Comcast tower they already have on JFK Boulevard? What's on all of those floors which we can't see walking past it?

That is basically all Corporate Comcast jobs - not really media focused in the slightest

Could see a Chris Matthews relocation to Philly and his home town for his MSNBC show - not sure I really see a national draw/movement for anything else.

Didn't NBC just move their sports HQ to CT? not sure that would move but could see it logistically and practically - not so sure though and if anything to me it would not go the the Navy Yard but an extension on Xfinity Live down at the stadiums

NBC was owned by GE, before they sold it to Comcast. And GE's official corporate headquarters is in Connecticut.
Could've had something to do with it?

ESPN is originally from CT, though. The state may have offered them some incentives to stay, I guess.
