Because I'm trying to save money, obviously? If I need $4,000 cash for deposit on an apartment in two weeks, clearly I don't want to be spending a fortune on a hotel for fours nights. Not that that is ANY of your business. Is it really that painful for you to be helpful?

I just had friends in from the west coast. Leaving the airport parking garage we got verbally assaulted by Philly International cashier for not having anything less than a $50. Friend said Ive never experienced anger like that in my life. I told him that was nothing he was in for an experience. A lot of stressed people here especially after a long cold winter

Have you tried the travel websites HotWire Hotels.com Priceline etc etc??

And by the way, I DID take advice. I'm going to stay in King of Prussia, as suggested.

I may be a little late, but I have to give a recommendation to my favoritest hotel in Philadelphia - The Alexander Inn, in City Center. It's the only place I stay now. I love it.

Centrally-located, comfy as can be, parking isn't free but is discounted, fairly affordable (everybody's budget is different), includes a Euro-style breakfast, nice staff. It's fantastic.

Either way, enjoy your stay. Philly is freakin' awesome!
