My family is facing a possible relocation back to the Tri-State area for my husband's job. We were both born and raised in Philadelphia so we have some familiarity with the area. We have also previously lived in Central New Jersey but would be relocating this time from North Carolina. We REFUSE to live in New Jersey again. Husband is willing to endure long commute to Central/North Jersey area (depending on which office he is assigned to) to avoid Jersey's exorbitant property taxes and be closer to family. Would like to focus on New Hope area for housing/schools. Housing range would be starting in the $450's. This will most like be our LAST and FINAL relocation after 20+ years so I would love some input/impressions of what we should look for/avoid. Thanks!

New Hope area is great. Lots of culture, restaurants, etc. Schools are small and fantastic. I'd say your husbands commute would likely be 1-1.5 hours depending on where he works.. He would likely take 202 the majority of the way. Unless you wind up on the outskirts of New Hope closer to Washington Crossing and then maybe you could jump on 95.
