Check this out y'all!
Awesome News Alert: Spruce Street Harbor Park To Pop Up On The Delaware River Waterfront This Summer With A Floating Restaurant, Hammock Lounge, Urban Beach And More | Uwishunu - Philadelphia Blog About Things to Do, Events, Restaurants, Food, Nightl

This will be fun for locales and visitors alike!
Now why can't they just make this a permanent venue; something that is use-able during winter time (as that ice skating rink) and summer time?

COOL! I always said Philly did not make good use of Penns Landing. This will be great this summer!

Now that's an example of thinking with your head! The funny thing is that this project is dirt cheap (in relative terms) but will do more to improve Penn's Landing than any multi-million redesign.

Yeah it really is smart thing in a lot of ways

Would actually love to see a like-barde on the Schuylkill as well - maybe attached to the boardwalk or at Chestnut or something

Sad thing is you are right in that it might be the best thing to happen there and one of the cheaper endeavors

That area is too small and it will be too congested. I prefer more relaxed events like

1. Public movie night

2. Jazz Festival

Seems like they are trying to turn that little area into wildwood
