Looking for a chill bar to go to in Center City around happy hour on Friday night. Preferably somewhere that won't be totally packed, although I realize that may be a tall order. A good place to meet a date, perhaps.

Probably around Center City East (can be west though), would prefer south of Arch. Somewhere where my friend won't have to pay a ton for parking.

Any suggestions?

ETA: Will probably be more on the tail end of Happy Hour, so 7ish?
Mexican Post on Cherry Street (near 16th Ave) is a decent spot, with affordable prices.
Although a little more expensive, The Public House on 18th street (between Cherry and Arch) is good.
My personal favorite, is Con Murphy's Irish Pub on Benjamin Franklin Pkwy (corner of 17th)

I hope that helps!

Ooops! Thought you were driving. In that case, I second Con Murphy's.

Will it be crowded though? That's kind of key. Don't want to be somewhere that will be insane (like I said, tall order on a Friday night in CC, but still...)

None of this may matter anyway because the dude's giving me the cold shoulder, but it will be nice to know for future reference

Locust Rendezvous may be a good option. It is very casual and it never seems to get too crowded.

Ranstead room may also be a good option. It has a speakeasyish vibe, is entirely about cocktails, and they will not allow it to get very crowded. It could feel a little too intimate for your purposes, however.
