I could use some expert opinions on what are reasonable suburbs to live in to commute to a job in Port Richmond. Would like to keep the commute preferably to 30 minutes - 45 minutes tops. Looking for a nice family oriented middle class suburb that is safe. Do you think Newtown to Port Richmond would be a terrible commute? Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

Probably normal business hours, somewhere in the range of 8am and 5pm although it might be flexible.

Your budget and other factors would be helpful but I would probably say Cheltenham or maybe south jersey towns but idk them well. ever consider living in the city?

Looking for a house or townhouse with a yard in the $300K range. I realize that wouldn't go far in Newtown, but that might give you an idea of the type of area we'd like to be in. How bad do you think the commute would be from Newtown to Port Richmond? Some of the other areas we like are Horsham, Abington, Ambler. Would those be terrible commutes as well?

Thank you for the Cheltenham suggestion, I will check that out.
