I just moved to Manayunk and am very happy with my choice. I have a three year old little girl who is about to start school and I am going to send her to catholic school or private school. Great thing is Manayunk is only a few minutes from the main line so there is an awesome choice of schools. Also the area is amazing, we can walk to the park, the stores, etc.

I am happy with my choice and she is happy too. We are only a few blocks from Main St and so far everyone on our block is either college kids or people who have been there forever. Heck, over the winter when we weren't able to move in yet our neighbor (who I only met a few times before) had shoveled my sidewalk for me. When I tried thanking him and giving him money for his work he wouldn't take it saying "that's what neighbors do".

Welcome!

If you would copy and paste the questions in this thread along with your answers, it will help us offer more focused suggestions.

I would predict that the suburban school districts would be better equipped to help your autistic son than the Philadelphia School District. Others here more knowledgeable will hopefully expound on that.

I think Doylestown and Bucks county area have autism programs, and their schools are good.
