I live in bala cynwyd (city ave) and my new work is in center city. My work starts really early around 7am.
I was originally thinking of driving but considering expensive parking fees in center city etc, I am now thinking maybe taking bus/train will be a good option.

Safety is a huge factor for me...How safe is bus (#44) from bala to center city especially early in the morning? Would train (paoli/thorndale line) be safer than bus?

Any comment is greatly appreciated.

Both bus and train would be just fine.

While both would be perfectly safe, the first 44 gets to 16th and Market at 6:51. If there is traffic, it could be later. So that could be a problem.

On the other hand, there is a train stopping at Suburban Station at 6:38 and at Market East at 6:43 and there will be no traffic to deal with.

SEPTA | Route 44 | 5th-Market to Ardmore | Weekday | to 5th-Market

SEPTA | Paoli/Thorndale Line Regional Rail Schedule | Weekday | to Center City Philadelphia
