Crash sends pedestrian plunging off elevated section of Walnut Street | 6abc.com

I hope he survives.

....that's a graphic news story. When did the local news become so disgusting and graphic?

Ten years ago the report would have stated that man sustain severe injuries to his leg and head and is in critical condition. Now they just come right out and tell you that his head busted open on the sidewalk. I'm sure his family appreciates the morbid details contained in the story of his horrific injury. Anything for clicks right?

I too hope he survives. There are a bunch of world class hospitals very nearby and often in situations like that time is everything so he at least has that in his favor.

Wow-terrible. The driver that was speeding and ran the red light should go straight from the ER to a prison cell.

I also thought the article was a little bit more detailed/gory than usual.

They must have edited it because I see nothing graphic in the article.

That's nothing! In my genealogy research, I came upon an 1889 article from one of the Philly papers -- described every gory detail what happened to a man after his work apron got caught in a machine.

yes it just goes to show that stories arent graphic now but people are just too easily offended. God forbid the story convey any sense of the horror tgat took place. if he were my family the last thing id be worrying about is whether the news story reported it too accurately.

They maybe referring to the part of the article when the city worker described what he saw after the man landed on the ground
