East Philly doesn't exist. East Philly would be New Jersey. There is a Northeast Philly however... and I guess you can consider the Riverwards "East" Philly.

No such thing as East Philly but you can probably consider center city as East Philly.

For me, I would consider Camden as East Philly due to Camden being similar to most neighborhoods in Philadelphia (especially North Philadelphia due to Camden being one of the worst areas in the US).

If you consider Center City as the city center, then geographically East Philly doesn't exist because the Delaware River is there, with NJ being on the other side.

I remember years ago before gentrification took hold, and to many people nothing outside of Center City was desirable, some commenter on a newspaper article said, "Thank God there is no East Philly."
