Those of us of a certain age grew up listening to Cannon on WIBG and WOGL. RIP Don; always enjoyed Cannon in the Morning. Thanks for the good times.

I certainly remember Don Cannon... as a teenager, listening to "Wibbage" was a daily ritual for all of us -Cheltenham School District and vicinity.
Hy Lit, Jerry Blavat, Joe Niagara... I think they're all gone now.
When FM and its long play format started to dominate radio, it was the end for AM rock outlets.
RIP, Don Cannon

Jerry Blavat is certainly NOT gone and at 74, is still going just as strong as ever! He can be heard on WVLT Cruisin' 92.1 and on WXPN on Saturday evenings. He DJ's many dances in the Philly area and still has his club, Memories in Margate. Many of his original line-dancers still follow him to this day. He has more energy than all of us combined and still calls us "kids"! I hope he lives a long life because he makes us all feel young!

RIP to Don Cannon....I was very sorry when he retired from his morning show at Oldies 98 ten years ago.

He also hosts a happy hour every Thursday at the Golden Nugget Live Bar, starting after Labor Day. There's one last happy hour outside on the deck tomorrow night (Tuesday, 8/26).
