Hi all, I recently secured a job with SAP and will be moving to Philadelphia in the next week or so. I will like to know the best areas to live.
A clean and safe neighborhood, decently priced apartments (nothing over $1k/month, less is preferred). I would prefer a location that's not too far from SAP in Newtown Square and at the same time closer to the city center. I'm in my 20s and prefer a place where there are lots to do.

Thanks in anticipation

suburb wise bryn mawr might work...ardmoreis another option a little closer to cc. easy drive to SAP, good train service to center city, a reasonable number of things in bryn mawr itself. in the city you might look at west philly in the vicinity of clark park, you could take route 3 to work

I would suggest West Chester. It's a college town with affordable housing and places away from campus, but accessible to the night life of downtown.

SAP is off route 3, which if taken westbound, will dump you right in West Chester (bearing you don't mind a 20-30 min commute).

I personally lived at Seven Oaks Apartments and my roommate and I paid just over $1k for a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment. I'm sure you can find something under $1k for yourself there.

Good luck!

I knew a girl who worked there who lived in manyunk. You can do what I used to do, leave your car parked at 69th station for $60/mo and just take the el to your car.
