Hello! I've been looking at a few apartments in towns outside Philly like Conshohocken, Wayne, Havertown, Broomall, King of Prussia, etc. I'm moving to the Philadelphia area in 3 weeks for a new job and I need to find an affordable apartment in a suburb west of Philly. I'm going to be attending West Chester University next year so I want something in between Philly and West Chester so I can easily get to school and work. I'm currently in Europe until November 5th so I'm doing the best I can with lining everything up for the next chapter in my life. I have never lived in the Philly area so I'm hoping to gain some perspective and suggestions for what I need.
I'm a 23 year old female and my boyfriend will eventually move in with me, but I want a 1 bedroom apartment in a town that's safe, affordable rent (average of maybe $800 if that's practical), and a convenient location to stores and highways to Philly. So far with my search, I havent found exactly what I'm looking for and any "afforable" housing seems to be government housing in different towns which I do not want, so I'm clearly not searching correctly or maybe google isnt so helpful. Would anyone be able to suggest any normal, affordable apartments in suburb towns that meet my criteria outside Philly? Thank you so much and I look forward to learning more about what's in the area, thanks!
