Hi all, I'm looking at renting a condo near 2nd & South and I'm aware of the number of bars in the area, but I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what the noise pollution is like during the week? I don't mind it on the weekend because I typically fall asleep whenever I get tired, but during the week I need to get to sleep by a certain time for work.

Thanks!

I went to take a look at the place yesterday and I loved it, so I really need to know about the possible noise issue. It faces west and is off 2nd Street, so that might help. I also asked the door-woman before the realtor got there and she said her only concern would be Wawa since it's open 24/7 and the noisy bars are more like around 5th/6th. It's been a while since I partied on South Street, so I have to take her word on that.

Can anyone else provide some help? Thanks

will you be on South or 2nd

I lived a few blocks away in QV and loved the area. I think a lot would be where the windows face to be honest

If into second you are probably fine

Facing South may have weekend noise. It is the city though so there is noise almost everywhere from time to time

Most of bars seem to be 3rd to 6th TBH on South

The entrance is on 2nd, the unit faces west. You're right that the city will always have noise, but I guess it's the music & drunken shouting that bothers me more than just ambient city noise.

Facing Second Street you should be fine

It will get rowdy probably Thursday through Sunday but 2nd Street usually stays much quieter.
