Supposed to meet up with someone soon for lunch and was wondering did anyone know about a place in University City where I can have lunch and have parking available?

Thanks

For a future reference New Deck Tavern near 34th and Sansom St. There is street parking all over that area.

There is some street parking on Sansom Street near the New Deck Tavern, but usually every spot is taken because across the street is Penn Law School and there are at least 4 other restaurants on that block - Doc Magrogan's, White Dog Cafe, Federal Donut, and Baby Blues BBQ. If you manage to find a spot ... feed the kiosk - $2.50 an hour ... the "meter maids" seem to circle the block every 5 minutes.

I would suggest instead The Gold Standard Cafe at 48th and Baltimore. The food is good, the atmosphere is nice (formally a late 19th Century Victorian shop or office), it's not expensive and finding free street parking on that block is usually available.

NOTED

Thanks for the suggestion. Maybe she never called because I didn't quite know exactly where we were going when we talked last night and was going to let her know today. But the fact that she never called means that I am not interested in anyway.

I can usually find parking, if I drive in that area, on the 3400 block of Filbert St. Filbert is a half block south of Market.
