We are moving to the area next month, and we are feeling very upbeat and positive about it.
We received some great advice on where to live on this forum, and we have been asking people we know who live there for advice on things to see and do. Unfortunately everyone we talk to has grown-up children, so their information on things to do with kids is out of date.
Where we currently live (Oakland, California) there are some really great online resources for families that are updated regularly.
510 Families has a lot of information about events that children might enjoy, as well as parks, activities, child-friendly restaurants, and all sorts of other miscellaneous information.
Berkeley Parents Network is a great place to ask questions about anything even remotely family related such as school information, advice on fertility clinics, referrals for divorce lawyers, where to find an accordion teacher willing to take on a new student, etc. The information we have gleaned from these two resources has made our time here richer.
I would love to find similar resources in Philly. Where should I be looking?
