bingo. west chester is the kind of place where you want to spend a vacation IMO. it's like someone grafted a slice of philadelphia onto the rolling hills of chester county in terms of architecture. very walkable, very well preserved, different than what you might find in the chicago area. while the mall in KoP might be the biggest on the east coast there is very little distinctive or even enjoyable about KoP.

it's a great addition to west chester, I hear there are plans for a second hotel

A very very very small slice.

No one insinuated that the Kng of Prussia Mall was distinctive but rather a nice central location to find cheap accomodations.

Meh kop isn't particularly nice and frankly west chester is much nicer. If central to the region's traffic nightmare I'd tour idea of a vacation then so be it.
West chester has more interesting things to do and is central to a nicer part of the region. There are other hotels more central to the ops target area anyway.
