I am doing research for a paper and thought the forums would be a great way to get individual perspectives on what social problems and unmet community needs exist in suburban communities. The paper is actually on Abington township so if you know any specifics about this community it would be most helpful! If you include your name, your opinion might be quoted directly in the paper. Thanks in advance!

Someone else can expand off of this, but I would say in the Philadelphia suburbs segregation of class/community amenities/wealth, which usually coincides with race has always been one of the biggest social inequalities among the suburban communities.

That might be too deep for what you are looking for.

Old York Road in Abington is an interesting dividing line in terms of race, ethnicity, income, and religion. East of 611, for example, is upwards of 20% Jewish. West of 611 is probably under 3%. Analyze the census tracts and block groups and you'll see some sharp disparities.
