Hey everyone! I'm thinking about switching to Sprint for the iPhone forever plan, but my one reservation is the coverage. I'm in Delaware County PA, so not too far from Philadelphia. I'm aware that Sprint has been notorious for poor coverage in recent times, but I'm hearing they have made some strides in their 4G network - especially in the northeast.

Does anyone have any recent experience with Sprint in this area? Do you drop calls at home/work or drop GPS connection while driving?

I appreciate any input provided!

I've had sprint since 2000 or so. They're fine in the delaware county area, it's when you start getting into sparsely populated areas that you may have some issues.

Sprint upgraded their LTE in the area recently. if the phone is "spark" enabled (it's the faster of their two LTE implementations, the new iphone supports it but some older phones may not) the speeds are much, much faster than they used to be and easily on par with the other three carriers. I find I have good spark coverage most of the places I tend to go- even as far north as phoenixville/collegeville where I need to go for work purposes.

Lastly, some of sprint's frequencies are on the higher end- lower end frequencies have better building penetration. If you have an issue with reception at your home location because of this, sprint will send you a microcell at no charge. It's essentially a mini tower that guarantees full reception wherever it's installed. It requires an active broadband internet connection to work, but other than that is pretty much plug and go.

Tmobile offers a similar device, but AT&T and Verizon tend to charge you for these.

That's all I got.
