I'm thinking about a position in the Chadds Ford area and would be relocating from North Carolina. My wife could potentially transfer and work somewhere near West Point, PA. We have a child and would prefer a good public school rather than private. Neither of us want to commute more than 40 minutes, and we'd love to be near a SEPTA train for the occasional trip into Center City.

Our price range would be $400k-$500k and we'd like at least 4BR, 2BA & 2000+ sq ft. On the map, the western end of the Main Line looks to be great, but I believe it'd be somewhat pricey. I don't know about schools there, either. Anyone have any suggestions?

The western end of the mainline would be a great choice. Perfect spot to commute to Chadds Ford and West Point.

Exton,Chester Springs,Malvern,Great Valley,Charlestown Township,Tredyffrin Township,East Goshen,Berwyn,St Davids,West Chester,Valley Forge are all great areas.

The 3 best school districts in that general area are Great Valley,Tredyffrin-Easttown,Radnor.

Good luck.
