ive applied to several hospitals regarding IT positions. Chop, Lankaneu, Christiana Care and Neumors(in Delaware), Temple, Upenn. So far no luck. Does anyone know the best way to get in one of these hospitals?

Any reason why you specifically want a health system IT position?

In any case wrt Temple and Penn pursue positions in other parts of the universities.

You should consider widening your search because you have barely scratched the surface.

If you mean Penn Med for UPenn, have you looked at all of the hospitals which are Penn Med(HUP, Penn Presbyterian, Pennsylvania Hospital)? The Perelman School of Medicine is part of Penn Med but also part of the university so applications probably have to go through the university's HR.

Lankenau is part of Main Line Health. Its other hospitals are: Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital in Media.

Temple Health also includes St Christopher's Hospital for Children.

Here are ones you missed: Hanneman. Managed by Tenet, but part of Drexel Med. Jefferson Health which includes Jeff Hospital in CC, Methodist Hospital in S. Philly and Abington Hospital. Mercy Health which is the Catholic health system. It includes Mercy Fitzgerald, Mercy Phila(formerly Misericordia Hospital) and Nazereth Hospital. Einstein Healthcare Network. Aria Health(Frankford and Torresdale). Fox Chase Cancer Center. Delaware Co. Memorial Hospital in Upper Darby. Cooper Health in Camden.

Hope this helps and good luck.

The "best" way would be getting a referral from a current employee. Besides that, just submitting a direct application.

FWIW, Jeff is in the process of getting EPIC up and running with a go-live date later this year. Might be worth looking into any positions that are opening up in IT.

You may want to look in to Cerner out in Malvern too.

Aren't a lot of those hospitals above part of a centralized IT department though? (e.g., Lankenau's part of Main Line Health so why apply at other MLH hospitals?) Although, I've been out of the game for a long time, so I am not sure how much of an IT department each individual hospital has.

OP doesn't list his/her relevant experience, which I think would matter.
