Can anyone ring off the names of some hardcore weightlifting/Bodybuilding gyms in Philly? Only one coming to mind is Ironsport in Glenholden PA. Any others?

Philly use to have hardcore neighborhood gyms in every part of the city. The chain gyms like LA fitness , retro and Sweat put most of them out of business. I use to workout at Ironsport years ago. Body world in South Philly is still around.

There really aren't many power lifting gyms in Philadelphia. I am into power lifting, and I was lucky enough to use Drexel University gym for 5 years which is well equipped. Sweat has a decent setup, they vary by location, 12th St Gym is kinda grungy but they have a good setup as well.

PSC is average, Bellevue Sporting Club is good, City Fitness is okay.

Why don't people look at dates before bumping old threads? (This is not directed at you, cpomp, as someone else bumped the thread.)

I've noticed sweat fitness has a lot of hardcore weightlifting females. Probably more than men. It's quite unusual.
