Take a stroll up Locust Walk through the heart of the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. If you have time, visit the Penn Museum (official name: "Univ. of PA Museum of Archeology & Anthropology"")

@Ms_Christina
Ms C didn't mentioned Reading Terminal Market. Don't miss it.

Also since she mentioned Independence Hall, cross 6th St, and visit Independence Beer Garden. It's between Market and Chestnut Sts.

Animals: Phila. Zoo.

Also google "Dilworth Park". They often have terrific live music during. mid-day.

More art: Barnes Foundation.

Let's assume you won't have a car. La Salle is well served by public transit. This makes it easy to get to Center City. Also consider taking the Chestnut Hill East line (Wister station) to Chestnut Hill and Mt Airy. Lots of restaurants and bars. Closer to campus is Germantown, loaded with historical sites (early October highlight is a reenactment of the Battle of Germantown).

If you have a bike, a nice loop would be from campus to Wissahickon Creek, returning via the 'hoods of West/East Mt Airy.

So, lots to do even close(ish) to campus.

Also, LaSalle probably has a "Student Life" (or similar) department that can advise you about activities, sites, etc.

Because the OP told us they had been there already.

But OP needs to go back to the RTM when it's in full operation, not at closing time - and not early in the week either.

Go to a Phillies game when the weather gets warm, even if you're not a baseball fan.
