Norcrossing the Delaware: How South Jersey

Really long article, but fascinating read.

The power players are building. The question really comes down to what is Norcross' endgame? Are him and Johnny Doc going to work together to begin conquering SE PA like he did with South Jersey? Or is he going to try to overthrow the Dougherty's to become a force to be reckon with in Philly?

Quote:
Since Norcross operates in the shadows, we’re left guessing about his motives. He’s strutted into Philadelphia, landed taxpayer-funded contracts, apparently helped elect the mayor, and perhaps even funded a new media organization. The mystery, the lack of accountability, the unanswered questions about who’s influencing our leaders and to what end … everyone’s worst nightmares about super PACs have been fully realized, right here in Philadelphia.
“There’s a great quote about Alexander the Great: He cried because there were no worlds to conquer,” says one political insider. “In Jersey, Norcross cried because there were no more worlds to conquer.”

Yep, read that article too. Agreed: what's Norcross' end game? What hand did he play to help get the Dem convention in Philly, for instance?

Wow-I was just reading about "the Norcross Machine" in Camden/South Jersey. Will definitely read the Phillymag article later today.
