Philly suburbs with sizable numbers of blacks & Puerto ricans (Philadelphia: crime, neighborhood)

What Philly suburbs and smaller SE PA cities have significant numbers of blacks and hispanics/Puerto Ricans? I'm specifically asking about Montgomery and Delaware counties. But I'm also open to Chester and Bucks. I'm black and my husband is Rican, were leaving North Jersey for the Philly area but rather the suburbs over city life. so what suburbs and small cities in SE PA have large numbers of blacks and Ricans?

Why are you looking to move to areas with significant numbers of blacks and Hispanics?

You're not going to like hearing this, but I'll say it anyway because there's data to support it. Your socio-economic status is less likely to improve if you move into such a community. It is, what it is.

Norristown, which is a small city and the county seat of Montgomery County.

According to this site:
34.7% White alone
33.6% Black alone
26.3% Hispanic

Norristown is a solid place. A friend of my used lives there and I used to visit him from delco. Its in a good location geography wise. You can access many places from Norristown just using public transportation. Besides Norristown, I don't think there are other places with both blacks and hispanics. Blacks are more widespread in philly but I think hispanics are only located in some parts of north philly and new jersey.

Also, living with your own people is not a bad thing. I want to see the data that support your belief that living with your own people will hurt your future socio-economic status

For me, the take away message is that it is in the interest of minorities to integrate. Retreating into their own racial enclaves serves no good to their socio-economic status.

You mean become whitewashed? No thanks. I'd rather the systemic barriers of racial discrimination be removed instead, so that those communities can actually thrive and prosper. Integration is great, and I actually prefer living in diverse, cosmopolitan metros, but they would be much better if everyone had enclaves on the same playing field.

Well the fact there is a correlation is obvious. That does not prove living in a neighborhood with your own people is the cause of lower socio-economic status. Your articles just show correlation. well done

The thing that bothers me about the NYT article is that they don't delve into how Asian students and communities fare; they were part of the main chart of data with Whites/Blacks/Hispanics. Asian communities have existed for decades (Chinatowns) and don't face the same magnitude of blight and crime and neglect as other minority communities. I don't think Asian communities should integrate; their socioeconomic status is strong enough by itself to maintain the community for a long time. This is a good local example of it:

There are many factors that come into play. From the top of my head, I would say culture is a big factor, though it manifests itself as race. It's not just a matter of integrating. Sometimes people want to simplify complex stuff into one statement.
