We are a retired couple living in Virginia and are planning to move to the Philly suburbs to be closer to my new grandson and son's family. Have a dght near by NJ. We would like to live within 30-40 min of Springfield in a rental apartment. Downsizing. Looking for a Jewish area that is also multicultural with lots to do. We have 2 little dogs as well. So would appreciate any tips. Thank you.

There's a Springfield in Delaware County and one in Montgomery County. Which one do you want?

I'm going to have to say "No" to springfield, the nuclear power plant there has always been a bit of a problem. Shelbyville, that's where you want to be.

I don't know of any power plants near Springfield (either Montgomery or Bucks Counties)

If you are talking about Springfield in Delaware County, I would say check out Media. Minutes away and it is a very cute town, tons of culture, good Jewish community and a lot of fun activities (Dining Under the Stars, Media Theater, Art Festivals, Farmer's Market, food festivals, etc.). And very walkable.

Default Media

Thank you for the recommendation. We are looking in Media, though I find that there are not very many apartments. So choice is not great. Will keep an eye on it.
