Generally speaking SEPTA is 24/7....Bus and Trolley service. I dont know why people get up in arms if they feel it isn't because the subway aren't running 24/7 weekdays. Even MTA doesn't run all its subway lines 24/7, as mentioned track, vehicle, station maitnence needs to be done.

This might be an answer to my question: PATCO is 24/7 because PATCO is solely a rail agency, with no buses to provide overnight coverage. Same as PATH up north.

Plus bridge tolls help fund it. Toll 76 and septa could run better overall service, particularly regional rail

In any case, point was just that it's not unreasonable for SEPTA to not offer 24/7 service, because almost nowhere has it.
Agreed. London has transformed in the last decade or so into a truly global (and elite) city. It's also about 5 times the size of Philly. Berlin and New York are also about double the size.

New York is about the same size as Greater London actually. Berlin is a little under half the size of NYC & London.

I thought trolleys stopped running at 1am?

It was corrected upthread. The 10, 13, 36 run 24/7. The 15 trolley does too.

I don't think that's true, but regardless they are all significantly bigger than Philly.
