Moving to Philly - based upon research, want to live in Washington Square West, Society Hill, or potentially Queen Village (looks like the area south of South Street in the low # streets, on the far east side of the city? Unsure if I have a good grasp on actual neighborhood names/boundaries). Preference for Washington Square West area but not sure if feasible.

Big hang-up is my new job is based about 30-45 minutes outside of Philadelphia in the suburbs...and I will need to drive to/from work every day.

Have heard that finding parking in these neighborhoods can be hard in the 6-7 PM hour after work. I *hate* circling endlessly for parking. Live in another city now, love my parking garage. Better for the environment, less stress for me, etc.

I am trying to do most of my apartment hunt remotely, but having problems figuring out where parking garages are in the city that do monthly rates, how easy to get, etc. etc. Don't want to even bother wasting time looking at apartments (when I come to see myself soon) that are very far from a monthly garage....(Woman, late 20s, don't want to walk by myself in the dark for lots of blocks to get to/from my car after work...also will also be traveling 1-2x a month for a few days, so need to leave my car behind while I am on the other side of the country without anyone local who could check on it).

Are there just not that many garages in these neighborhoods? Found a garage at 10th and South Street, but don't see anything else much north of that in that neighborhood or north/west. Just doesn't exist?

My budget for an apartment is about $1500/month (could be flexible based upon situation)...the buildings that have attached garages seem like 1 bedrooms start around $1800-$1900 (am I wrong about that?).

TL/DR - any resources on monthly parking garages in Philly? I have Googled, etc.

We just moved to Queen Village in August and have really enjoyed it. We rent a spot at the Queen Village lot, which is a gated entry lot underneath 95 btw Christian and Washington. So far no issues. It's run by Parkway, you should just be able to call them and see what the availability is like.
