New Parking Authority director hires daughter's roommate

A $49K a year Administrative Assistant job for her daughter's roommate. $49k a year to be a damn secretary? To put things in perspective, a public school teacher (an actual professional job) starts out making less then this woman.

This city's corruption and patronage is sickening.

I am still disgusted at the fiasco with the former director. I think he should be in jail, or at least embarrassed and chased out of the city... but no hes getting away with a few hundred thousand dollars and nice insurance coverage.

I wish I could be king for a day and dissolve the PPA lol.

For once the comment section of Philly.com made me laugh.

One more time: the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania runs the PPA. It's not run/managed by the city.

And you are ignoring that the city does not hire these people. Send your outrage to the slugs in Harrisburg.
