The last economic slump was brutal, it decimated communities. We are still recovering, albeit unevenly. We are still in a credit bubble which needs to be rectified. Either by either greater production, higher taxes, inflation, credit defaults or combinations of the four.

This credit bubble remains a drag to the overall economy. Some people don't think it matters. Who know, time will tell.

Unfortunately, history dictates that the economy goes through booms and bursts. So enjoy the good times.

My point is Philly still tipped the scale in it is not a city still in decline. It bodes well for it to be a key city today for NYC professional transplants. That flow alone will keep this move forward and gentrification.

My favorite Big city is Chicago. You get all the negatives it has too. But no one can deny the city its great points and where it has advanced greatly. A Top Booming Core in the nation and in my view a superior housing stock that kept green-frontage to housing as a standard and having a standard alley-system where ugly Electric poles are run. Aesthetically the city has a more pleasant look. A city-wide removal of blight in previous decades help greatly too. Its embracing its lakefront was another great asset. Adding its river today too.

Sadly, it could not remove the blight of its gangland crime. It's a tax tax tax city too. City is broke but does not stop new projects to improvements in infrastructure. It maintains street-cleaning services also.

But this is about PHILLY and ITS TIME TO SHINE MORE HAS COME TOO. I merely acknowledge that. Philly does need cleaner streets though. To shine... that is part of it too.

Damn straight! I've come to the right place. I love it here and really do not want to go anywhere else at this point! For the first time in my life, I am having professional success on not one, but TWO very promising career paths. People need to give this city a chance. Looks can be deceiving at first, but its bark is far worse than its bite. It is a diamond in the rough.
