Do we really need the kids who stand on 12th Street, across from the Reading Terminal Market, banging on their drums every weekend afternoon?
It's awful, it's noise pollution and it doesn't exactly make for a peaceful, welcoming experience to the area.

It's really annoying. Is this the same group that may then march through Center City streets on occasion?

There used to be a guy beating on his drum every afternoon outside of our office building. I contacted 311 a few times. Nothing ever happens. Weather is nice again.. hope he isn't back again this year.

This is a sign of you getting older and being less and less tolerant of a lot of stuff. Lol.

Seriously, the problem I have with them is they're not trained in percussion and have no natural talent. It's just a lot of noise as you say.

Someone, I guess, thinks it's some kind of constructive activity. It's not. It's just BS.

Lmao ouch! I personally don't care. I find that the characters like Vent Man and Philly Jesus add to our city. Granted those guys aren't nearly as loud as the marching band performances lol.

^ Definitely agree on Vent Man and Philly Jesus. I love how one day PJ is blessing someone at Dilworth and then the next day you see him photographed in handcuffs. He's definitely a man of the people....

I haven't been close enough to them to notice, but I think they may be looking for handouts.

FWIW, I've never like noise pollution, even as a child.

Philly Jesus is A-OK ... He blessed Lemon drop and myself in McGillin's last year then proceeded to dance all over like Michael Jackson. Good times!

Who is Vent Man?

IDK, but I saw a ragtag band of about fifteen grown men marching around last year playing a variety of instruments. Some appeared drunk and/or homeless, but maybe that's just a look. I liked them.

Haha, excellent! I always say hi to PJ when I see him.
