Hi,

My son has been missing classes for months.
The IEP process has been very slow and difficult.
I am sad and upset that it costs him his education.
Anyhow, since the district is not cooperating, I am looking for a summer school that gives high school credits around Philadelphia.
He does not want to go boarding, a day school will be preferred, although we will consider boarding too if that is the only option we have,

You need to work with your school on this problem. Each district can make it's own policy on what classes are allowed to be accepted and what's needed for graduation. And if you are looking for the school to pay for it, you really do need them to okay it first.

I would recommend cyber school for going back to school. They will probably be able to give you a focused curriculum sooner as long as your child is self-motivated. The environment around your child could be impacting his/her education in a way that could make the IEP process more difficult to iron out so that accommodations are set up properly.

There are also a few cyber schools in which you can pay out of pocket too for summer school, if you want to consider that option.
