Hi ,
I am trying to find apartments near 202, south of West Chester.
I looked at Lantern at Glen Mills, and Valleybrook at Chadds Ford. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Never lived in either, but I know tenants at Valleybrook and they're constantly complaining about management. Of course, that in of itself doesn't necessarily mean it's better/worse than Lantern.

Also, I notice you have another post re: UCF school district. Just wanted to make sure you know that both are Garnet Valley School District despite having a Chadds Ford address.

Thank you for your response!
Yes, both these places are in GVSD, not UCFSD. I am torn whether to rent in these two, vs. renting up north near Malvern for Tredyffrin-Easttown SD. My commute will then be much longer, for a slightly better school district!

Painters Crossing is a condo community just west of the Route 1-Route 202 intersection. There are usually at least a few units for rent. It's also in GV school district.

Garnet Valley is still an exceptional school district.

Yes. In no way should Garnet Valley be looked down upon.Excellent schools.

I had friends who lived in Darlington Woods and they loved it. Its an older condo community but many people rent out their condos . There seems to be alot of new construction right behind the Concordville Town Center. Not sure if they are homes/condos/ apartments or a mix. .

Painters Crossing is actually Unionville Chaddsford.

My only gripe with GVSD is the huge school size. GV Elementary has about 10 different classes for each grade. I would think it's not very conducive for creating a close-knit community. Bethel Elementary has probably half the students, but they're all going to get thrown together at Middle and High School. Having said that, I have children at GVE and I'm very happy with the teachers that they've had so far. I'm amazed that they're able to keep everything organized with so many students.

I understand the section of land just west of Valleybrook Apts (Beaver Valley) will eventually have new construction that will include apartments. But I'm not sure of the school district or when they'll even get built.
