Been to his new place (Bonk's, Richmond and Tioga) a couple of times and the food was terrific, especially the fried oysters. Nice place.
Good to know. I've seen it from I-95 a few times and was wondering why I hadn't noticed it before so it makes sense it's newer. With the big crab, it seems like they are trying to attract some of Byrne's business?

The crab has been there forever, nothing new.

I still prefer Byrne's ... they carry my beer (bottles of Coors Banquet) and they're prices are much lower ($2.50 a bottle for example).
Bonk's will be the occasional treat.

I understand that Scoats, the owner of The Grey Lodge, is now the new owner of Bonk's.

Sorry you had bad fish and chips, I had it there the other night and it was quite good ... if a bit greasy (which fried fish is supposed to be anyway) ... I served in the Royal Merchant Navy of the UK so I know my fish and chips!

Have you had the fish and chips at Victoria Freehouse? They're the best I've had in Philly.

Any updates? Does the decline of Mayfair continue?
