Don't tell me you fell for the Media hype. If you did, you might as well take the train too.

Elaborate ! We didn't take the train...we drove from Philly and it was easy peasy . When I googled it, it looked like the train takes 45-50 mins? And we got there in half hour with the vehicle.

What "hype" are you talking about? It's a perfectly lovely town with a nice, relaxed vibe. Did you have a bad experience there?

Also, I should add...Media hype is deserved. I was very impressed with the vibe. Husband and I have explored Haddonfield, Chestnut Hill and Media and Media was our favorite.

Ive never heard Media get any hype.

It gets suggested on this forum for a nice place to live, great schools, no crime, beautiful surrounding area, walkable but small .

The buzz with Media is going to increase with a couple big residential developments coming. West End Flats, Granite Run Town Center,Hampton Inn. Having Ridley Creek State Park as your back yard not bad either.

I've read about all of these! I loved how it was so walkable and clean. It was open enough but not a typical suburban town where you're dependent on a car to get anywhere. I loved that I saw different demographics of people out and about.. Seemed really calm and chill but with a nice amount of things to do. We took our dog hiking at the park and it was just beautiful. It seems like a perfect mix of everything if I should ever leave the city. The litter and crime is really weighing on me.

Media is so lovely! It is just absolutely beautiful! I mean the Trader Joe's alone has so much character it looks like a castle. IMO it definitely is the most hip suburban town in the region.

Also check out Phoenixville, Wayne, Ardmore, Newtown, Doylestown, Jenkintown, Lansdale, Ambler and New Hope! Oh and West Chester and Kennet Square. SEPA is blessed with so many vibrant walkable downtowns. Many people who move to the city and are not from the region are unaware of just how beautiful the Pennsylvania suburbs are

Same here - which is why I questioned it. I can tell you THIS: I have taught as a Substitute all over the county - Rose Tree-Media SD is my PLUM, hands down! Always look forward to going there, especially the middle school.
