An interesting line from the "Boy" in the new movie: THE ONLY LIVING BOY IN NEW YORK. "New York has Lost its Soul.....New York's Most Vibrant Neighborhood at the moment is Philadelphia"

Sort of parallels the line by actor Edward G. Robinson in classic movie: Soylent Green - "...he's (a criminal) crossed the City Line (NYC Line) into Philadelphia".

That's been true for a while....so will it mean that they will finally register those cars in PA or NJ eventually?

Yeah, what's up with that? And NJ too. I live in the far western suburbs purposely to not have to deal with people from NY, and NJ, and I see their license plates all the time here.

I agree, as if Philadelphia is supposed to be honored by that distinction. A city of nearly 1.6 million and a metro area of over 6 million can doesnt need backhanded compliments from our brother to the north.

Philadelphia is a very large city with one of the best downtowns (Center City) in the country. One of the few cities you dont need a car, its location is ideal, the entire area is full of diversity and character, and for New Yorkers the big one is cost of living. You are not giving up all that much to relocate to Philadelphia, but you are cutting rent in half.

I was in NYC last Sat. The crush of people in GCS, for instance, was more than I have ever seen it and this was Saturday not a weekday with mostly commuters.

It may also be that NY is just too hard to deal with nowadays.
